How long does it take for a divorce to be final in Pennsylvania?
My brother is married to a woman in Pennsylvania and he is stationed in Kentucky. He just got the papers in the mail a few days ago stating that the divorce was taking affect. He didn’t have to sign anything or send them back. Can anyone tell me how long it will be until the divorce is final or what he could do to speed it up?

It will go before a judge and if he doesn’t contest it, will become final in due process, but anything could happen, which could cause all sorts of delays. There probably isn’t anything that can be done to speed things up, locked into a legal system, where only the lawyers win.
